Alzheimer’s and Dementia Trained Staff
Each team member of Van Dyk Memory Care Center is certified in Alzheimer’s Care. Our team meets monthly for review of basic and advanced dementia care techniques. Van Dyk Memory Care Center continually follows all breakthroughs and developments with the disease and effects of aging and adapts evidence based best practices for Alzheimer’s.
Pam Tokarczuk, LNHA, CALA, CDP
Executive Director, Van Dyk Memory Care Center
Pam Tokarczuk oversees the operations of the Van Dyk Memory Care Center. She previously served as Administrator of Van Dyk Ridgewood, where she managed the quality and consistency of care services and operations, coordinated data and clinical outcomes surrounding hospital re-admissions, supervised the HeartWays cardiac program and nurse education. Tokarczuk’s health care experience spans various leadership roles in long term care, assisted living, residential health care and Independent senior living. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with both bachelors and masters degrees, and has since earned both a nursing home administrator license and an assisted living license from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. She also serves on New Jersey’s LTC Culture Change Committee and is a member for HCANJ’s action plan committee for reducing the use of psychotropic medications in health care facilities. She is past-president, and active member of the Ringwood Garden Club of New Jersey and Charter member of the New Jersey Activities Professional Association.
